“I will follow the principels,tradition, culture, values, teachings and thoughts of Terapanth, and am abide for the same” said Acharya Mahashraman after formally accepting the charge of 11th Acharya of “Terapanth” at Sardarshahar. He said that it seems that Acharya Mahapragya is motivating him to take such oath and asking him to move ahead firmly. He said that Acharya Shri Tulsi and Acharya Shri Mahapragya has nurtured his personality to the extent that he is now sitting on the chair which was earlier hold by them.
Earlier formal Pachhewadi was conferred to Acharya Mahashraman to mark the Acharyatva by Muni Sumermal Sudarshan and he was taken to the chair of Acharya by Muni Balchandji and other Sadhus. Holy mantras and mangalpaath were recited by Sadhu and Sadhvi, who were present there to witness this gracious occasion. Sadhvi Pramukha Kanak Prabhaji, while addressing the gathering, said that there is a tradition in “Terapanth” to follow the Acharya, and remain faithful to Acharya. She said that discipline of all the earlier Acharyas of Terapanth was quite immemorable and so will be of the present Acharya. Sadhvi Pramukha also describe the constitution of “Terapanth” which was introduced by the first Acharya of Terapanth Acharya Shri Bhikshu in the Vikram Samvat 1832.
Speaking on the occasion, former Dy. Prime Minister L. K. Advani said that it is a historic event. He has seen many organizations, movements and leadership skill of their leaders, but “Terapanth Dharam Sangh” is quite different from others. “Anuvrata” movement launched by “Terapanth” is a great one, which is working towards elimination of wrong doings from our society.
Former President of BJP Rajnath Singh expressed hope that Acharya Mahashraman will spread the basic roots of Indian culture all over the world. He said spreading of thinking of ahimsa is need of the hour, when not only India but the whole world is fighting with problem of terrorism and naxalites.
Minister of Rajasthan State Rajkumar Sharma said that Acharyas of Terapanth has always worked for betterment of society and removal of evils from the society, which is definitely a great work. He asked the people of Rajasthan to follow the teachings of Terapanth to create a healthy atmosphere in society.
Santosh Bagrodiya, MP brought the message of Smt. Soniya Gandhi, Chairperson of UPA and handed over the same to Acharya Mahashraman Ji.
Earlier Acharya Mahashramanji and other Sadhus and Sadhvis were reached at the ground of Engineering College of Sardarshahar in the form of a march which routed through main roads of Sardarshahar. Thousands of people from all over the country came to Sardarshahar to witness this historic event.
